Supplements for men
that actually work
No testosterone myths. No gym bro science. What the research actually says men should take for muscle, energy, heart health, and sleep β at the right doses.
Men's nutritional needs differ from the general population
Research shows UK men are most commonly deficient in vitamin D, magnesium, and omega-3 β yet only 27% supplement consistently. The gap between knowing and doing is costly.

The 4 areas men should focus on
Choose what matters most right now β or combine them for comprehensive coverage.
Muscle & performance
Evidence-based sports nutrition for strength, endurance, and recovery.
Creatine Monohydrate 5g
Strongest evidence of any sport supplement. Increases ATP resynthesis for strength and power output.
Protein (whey/plant)
1.6β2.2g per kg bodyweight is the researched range for muscle protein synthesis.
Beta-Alanine 3.2g
Increases muscle carnosine. Reduces acidosis during high-intensity training. Tingling is harmless.
Magnesium Glycinate
Depleted by sweat. Critical for sleep quality and muscle recovery.
Energy & focus
Cutting the 3pm crash β with and without caffeine.
B-Complex
B vitamins are rate-limiting factors in energy metabolism. Most men are mildly deficient.
CoQ10 200mg
Essential for mitochondrial function. Declines with age. Statin users are particularly deficient.
L-Theanine 200mg + Caffeine 100mg
The most research-supported cognitive enhancement stack. Smooth alertness, no crash.
Ashwagandha KSM-66 300mg
Reduces cortisol by up to 28% in clinical trials. Supports sustained energy without stimulants.
Heart & long-term health
The supplements men consistently neglect, with the highest long-term returns.
Omega-3 EPA/DHA 2g daily
The most evidence-backed cardiovascular supplement. Reduces triglycerides, supports heart rhythm.
Vitamin D3 4,000 IU + K2
D3 deficiency affects testosterone production. K2 ensures calcium goes to bones, not arteries.
Magnesium 400mg
Low magnesium associated with higher cardiovascular risk in large epidemiological studies.
Berberine 500mg
Research shows similar HbA1c reduction to some diabetes medications. Supports metabolic health.
Sleep & stress recovery
For men who are always on β and struggling to switch off.
Magnesium Glycinate 400mg
Activates the parasympathetic nervous system. Reduces sleep latency and improves sleep quality.
Ashwagandha KSM-66
Clinically shown to reduce cortisol and improve sleep quality in stressed adults.
Zinc Bisglycinate 25mg
Involved in testosterone synthesis and immune function. Most men don't hit RDA from diet.
L-Theanine 400mg before bed
Alpha wave promoter. Creates calm without sedation. Particularly effective for racing thoughts.
What to skip (and why)
The men's supplement market is full of overpriced products with weak evidence. Here's what we don't stock and why.
Testosterone boosters (proprietary blends)
The individual ingredients (D-aspartic acid, Tribulus) show minimal effect at doses found in commercial blends. You're largely paying for marketing.
Fat burners with stimulant stacks
Most fat burners are high-dose caffeine + marketing claims. The appetite suppression from caffeine alone is well-documented and far cheaper.
Most 'male enhancement' products
Limited rigorous clinical evidence. Many make illegal disease claims. If you have specific concerns, speak to a GP.
BCAA supplements if you already eat enough protein
If you eat sufficient protein (~1.6g/kg), BCAAs are largely redundant. Creatine or carbohydrate timing is a better investment.
